Default Radiator Cap Leaking

I seem to have a leak at the radiator cap. It's not a big leak just some seepage where the cap meets the tube going to the thermostat housing. I did notice one small drip onto the drive belt a couple of times after a drive. I replaced the cap with an OEM cap from the dealer and it is still happening. I'm not sure what else to check. I don't see any cracks in the tube that the cap screws into. But maybe I'm just not seeing it? Has anyone else seen this problem?

It might not be a crack. It could be the surface is bent and not allowing a good seal.

Please post your vehicle info, and a photo of your radiator neck would be really helpful here.

It's a 2008 3.9l. I don't have a picture and it will be a while before I can get one.

I have not checked mine in a while thinking it somehow resolved itself. I guess I should get out there and have a look. The weird thing is that it leaked then stopped without me touching it in between. Cars don't tend to fix themselves. Whatever the problem is, it seems you and I are either making the same mistake or there is some underlying problem.
