Mixing patina with two-tone cool, 1956 Chevy street rod pickup with matching trailer will turn heads everywhere they go.

One of the greatest things about Chevy trucks and SUVs is their ability to tow all of the things that can’t be put in the back for a ton of reasons. Got a Camaro dirt track superstar? Your Silverado 2500HD can bring it down for those Saturday night fights. Just picked up a cool-ass boat? Your Suburban was meant to tow that beauty to the lake. Ready to start your lawn care service? No better rig to haul your gear to your first client than a Colorado.

The only thing better than any of the above, of course, is a classic Chevy towing a classic camper. We found such a combo on the website of Fredericksburg, Texas’ Street Dreams, in the form of a dreamy two-tone 1956 3100 with a matching trailer.

Under the hood of this classic Chevy is not the 283 V8 it likely had, but a big, fuel-injected, 5.3-liter LS V8, paired with a 4L80E automatic with overdrive for the long treks across America.

Surrounding that big V8 is a Chevy wearing a fine shade of turquoise with a white cap, a full set of turquoise wheels with chrome hub caps wrapped in whitewalls, and bits of chrome trim. It also has some rust and a fair bit of patina, giving the truck a touch of old-school cool.

Behind the Chevy, of course, is its matching camper trailer, also rolling on a pair of turquoise wheels shod in whitewalls. It’s not nearly as rusty as the truck, but it has enough miles on the exterior to blend in with its companion.

Inside the Chevy’s cab, there’s a touch of modernity with the set of digital gauges in place of the old stock units, along with some LED lighting up front to shine a path in the dark. The A/C unit blows cold for those hot summer nights, and the black bucket seats will keep you comfy on the long drives.

Meanwhile, the trailer has a matching mini-fridge and gas stove, a big cozy bed to dream your Chevy dreams, and an A/C unit of its own for maximum comfort in your home away from home.

The Chevy truck-camper trailer combo only has around 800 miles on the current engine, and brings lots of people smiles while parked in front of Street Dreams. We’re sure the pair will continue to do so for a long time to come.
