Default Fuel Pump and Sending Unit

Just was wondering whether not someone could give any insight on brands that may be worth using or not using due to issues found. Fuel gauge isn't moving all the way to full line in truck and had this similar thing happen on a dodge 1996 1500 the sending unit and pump started going bad and did this same thing. looking to purchase new and get installed hopefully.

Please post your vehicle details, but OEM is the way to go.

Thank you about the suggestion of what part brands, just really not hoping to get a dud. Any suggestions on the best way to get bed off the truck to change the fuel pump chem_man or mountainmanjoe? Or anyone else?

Default Buying GM or OEM Parts and being able to find them

Just got on GMPartsCorp.com and didn't see any tank straps. ? Does GM not make those, because the one's on the tank are beginning to rot away due to cheap metals used these days and the road treatments used on the roadways the metal doesn't stand a chance to last very long. I found a fuel pump though on that site $417 thank you again about the suggestion of where to possibly find some parts.

I have no suggestions on how to drop the fuel tank/raise the bed - sorry.

Try https://www.dormanproducts.com/ for fuel tank straps, and price the fuel pump and straps at rockauto.com and save some $$$.

Good Luck!

For what it's worth, I did the fuel pump access panel mod (cut hole in bed right above pump, welded angle iron brackets, drilled/tapped holes for screws for reattaching). I've managed to fare pretty well with bargain brand fuel pumps, but when it comes to hard to replace pumps, it's understandable to want to pay more for a lessened chance of a problem. That's why I was so interested in doing this mod, because now swapping a pump is a 20-30 minute job.

Drop the bolts on driver side loosen up the passenger side and jack up the bed to have clearance for the pump
