Default Front Impact Sensors

2018 Chevy 1500, hit a deer on the front left corner of the vehicle and the airbags went off. Took it to a local mechanic shop and they replaced every module, sensor, and airbag that needed to be replaced.

After replacing everything the only codes that show up after running a diagnostics test are the following.

B0083- 0 Left Front Impact Sensor - High Voltage / Open
B0084- 0 Right Front Impact Sensor - High Voltage / Open

Both the left and right front impact sensors were replaced 2 different times for a total of 4 new sensors. All connections and wires were checked as well and nothing out of the ordinary. Airbag light still comes on and shows those 2 codes.

Any information?
Thanks in advance.

Vehicle is still in the shop. Just trying to gather information that I could potentially pass on to resolve the problem.

well don't be surprised if the mechanic tells you where to stick advice you found on the internet.

I am looking for information not smart *** remarks. The mechanic is a friend of mine and I offered to try and find some information regarding the issue and he was very welcoming of any information I have gave him regarding other problems. Please do me a favor and don't comment unless you have information that I am looking for. Thanks.

I simply stated fact. Like it or lump it. Don't ask for advice, if you don't want to hear it.

If he's a mechanic then he should have access to service information and be able to fix it without help from customers.

Tell him to follow the diagnostic procedure: https://charm.li/Chevy%20Truck/2013/...0Charts/B0083/
