Add my 2007 LT Suburban to the list.. 23K miles. Always in the garage. Cracked from the left forward corner of the airbag.

All of you that haven't already done so should file a complaint w/ the NHTSA. See Post #1070 for the link.

Be proactive and part of the solution.

I did file a complaint and can't find a record of anyone ever filing. Do you have a link that will show how many have filed? It should be by part number because this dash fits a lot of models and years. The other dash in the trucks has a different part number but has the same crack problem.

I believe in2pro stated that about 150 had filed. He may have a link for that data.

Just to comment on this, I noticed my dash crash at 48k in november. I finnnnnally got through GM customer care messing up my phone number and the local dealer called me in.

Service manager says they're only seen one other one (right...) but said that they put in mileage out of warranty, vehicle age, and a few other things into a form and they calculate your participation (aka how much you pay).

I also asked if corporate GM pays it back or if it's entirely on the dealer..turns out corporate is backing this - which I didn't expect. So corporate is hiding behind the dealer which is pretty ****ty.

Dealer service guy punched in the numbers, said not really any wiggle room but it'd cost me $200 for the to replace/install.

I think I'm going to take them up on it depending if they warranty the repair and give me a loaner car.

Still should not have happened in the first place, as a design engineer myself, the designer of this part needs to have his wrists smacked.

Question 2010 chevy tahoe dash cracking already

Hello. I just joined this forum. I own 2010 Chevy Tahoe w/71k miles. my dashboard just started cracking a couple days ago, on passenger side (left side front area of passenger airbag). My 1989 Chevy k1500 pickup has original dash w/ 220k miles (no cracks on dash at all). I own several Chevy vehicles.

Can someone tell me where do I need to contact on this forum (contact Chevrolet customer Service), to see if they can help me with this concerns.

Also transmission tube bracket is broken (I found a tsb on-line on this, which I plan to take to Chevy dealer possible this week)
My left rear and front right chrome door handle are peeling off.

I have filed a complaint at this website http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/Sea today.

Thanks in advance.
