I have to admit, they were so good to us, I will buy another vehicle from them when the time comes.

Seems they take better care of a second owner than the orginal owner and also a retiree of the company.
I will put a sign on the back mentioning the service dept at this David Stanley Stealership service dept.
They won't be selling me anymore cars, or trucks ever.
Mine will be going to a "certified mechanic" who can do warranty work just like the service dept.

I received a call from Ava my district specialist today she stated that the dealer reported contributing factors in my dash crack. 1 I have a aftermarket radio installed. 2 I have an aftermarket alarm installed. Are you kidding me, neither are near the passenger side air bag. When I asked about the piece flying off when the air bag deploys she told me to refer to the dealer.

Everyone need to go to National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and file a complaint. If there are enough then they will force GM to do something.

At least now we are getting a little bit of insight as to why some may or may not be declined...

I believe this has nothing to do with any additional radio installation, It is simply bad products, and the fact they refuse to stand by their "defect" really pisses me off.

No doubt, however if you have done anything that could be considered a modification and your dash is cracked, be prepared to be turned down for any compensation.... meaning put it back the way you found it before making a claim

I am a new member but I was looking for something else with another problem I was having with my wife's 07 Tahoe. I saw this thread and I also have a crack in the dash. I bet it is the same spot as ya'll are talking about too. I haven't tried to take it in yet, but I guess there is no need. It's funny that ya'll are have the same problem! Just to add a alittle fuel to the fire, my mom has a 06 or 08 Tahoe and her dash is cracked too! Amazing!
