Trans problems on 99 suburban
Ok my rear end went out on my burb so I replaced it and now my Trans wont drive in drive or 3 off the start 2 and 1 go but will slip if I get on it.. Will shift through all gears if I start from 1 or 2 and then shift back up to drive plzz help
It sounds like you have done a bunch of work on your truck. When you replaced your differential, I assume that you used the same gear ratio and that you refilled the automatic transmission, since you removed the driveshaft. Truly, replacing the rear end should not have any impact on the transmission, if it is the same gear. Was there any transmission linkage removed or altered?
I am sure that you are pulling out your hair.
Good luck.

You mention in your note, that the transmission is slipping in 1st. Was it slipping prior to the rear end change? How many miles do you have on the truck. It is possible that the transmission was on its way out. You may want to get a transmission shops take on the problem.
Lucas,
When is the last time you changed your Trans filter? It may be clogged. I should have asked you earlier about this. If the filter is clogged, you may get some of the problems you are noting, ie slipping, not shifting properly etc.
