Default Don't get me wrong

I just meant that I wouldn't show my poker hand of what I would pay on this forum for GM to see. Kinda tough to negotiate if they know in advance how much you're willing to pay. It's just a poker hand we shouldn't ever play with a quality manufacturer. So far, GM is addressing all my problems but I shouldn't have had them. I've had old clunkers with less problems.

Appreciate all the help and suggestions guys. Took my truck to the local
dealer on Friday and explained everything. The service manager took all of 5 seconds to look at the dash and told me that whatever GM decides they will honor it. Like I said before .... the truck is brand new on the inside except for the narly cracks. So far it looks like they're standup guys. Let's see what my case rep does for me.

Default Giving our hand up

I do understand where you are coming from in reference to saying how much it cost me to replace my dash. I felt that this would help everyone else to let them know what it cost me. As I said in previous posts, it was worth it to me not to look at that crack. If anyone else out there can do better, more power to them. This is the price I was told it would cost me and I did it. GM needs to know that we are a large group of some very unhappy people and whatever they can do to help, they need to do. Merry Christmas !

Update: Heard from the dealer this afternoon. Told me that it would cost 300.00 to get'r done. I told the gentleman very politely that before I agree to anything I would first have to call the Rep. from GM who was helping me and that I felt that they could do a better job considering the condition that I keep my truck and how Representatives from GM where helping people on this forum. So I called and left a message for my rep Damian.

In case any of the GM reps who have been helping people out would like to give him a call and not wait for me to send any additional emails. Case number 71-1137445603

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Hey there Naturegirl, do you have the name of the dealership? I took mine to a dealer here in Atlanta and they said it wasn't any warrantee. I have a 2007 Tahoe. If I can talk to the dealership and find out why can replace it and others can't. Thanks, Wheeltop

Louis,
I spoke to him on Friday afternoon. I don't know if it was after he spoke with you. I tried to explain my reasons and concerns. He acknowledged the problem with the dash. I explained that even though my truck was bought used, it had still been given service through dealers and that the Maroone dealers in the S. Fla area had worked with their customers and did right by them. It was not this dealer, but some higher up in the state. He told me that is was going to cost 250.00 and the dealer said 300.00. When I told him this....he said the dealer might of been adding taxes and other things?
I"m not complaining about the door handles or anything else. I'm merely specifying that the dash has documented issues from the original detective run of 08 and that I could please get taken care off. I told Damian , thank you for the help, but I would see if perhaps someone from GM ( you or another rep) could have a conversation with him. LIke I've stated before. My truck is new on the inside. THe dealer didn't even spend 5 secs looking at it. He said what ever GM states they would abide by that. I take that as you gentlemen having the final word. I believe there were some other people on this tread that also had trucks that were bought used and GM did right by them. I only ask that this fairness be consistent.

Sincerely,

Jquest
